Hello there! My name is Shari and I am a woman who has many roles in life, such as wife, mom, teacher, daughter, sister, friend, coworker and many more. Many of you probably have those same roles and more.
One role that I am so proud to have is that I am a wife. I have been married to my amazing husband John for almost 16 years and together for over 22 years. He was my high school sweetheart and we have definitely grown in so many ways together over the years and have been through so many different stages together. He is my best friend and biggest supporter and I am so thankful for him.
I have always loved kids so it is no surprise that growing up I always wanted to be a teacher. I became a teacher in 2007 and I have taught many different elementary grades from preschool all the way up to second grade. I have taught in different types of settings such as urban, rural, public, online, and in private schools as well. I love teaching and sharing all the things I have learned over the years.
In 2011 I was lucky enough to be able to become a mom. It was not an easy road for me to become pregnant but we were blessed with two amazing kids. My son Andrew and my daughter Lilly. It has always been a dream of mine to become a mom. Even though it can definitely be challenging, it is the best and most rewarding job I have had the pleasure of having.
One role that I actually never thought that I would have is to be a writer or blogger. If I am being completely honest I have always felt like I have never been great with words and expressing myself but here I am! Recently I have felt that maybe as I get older there is a certain set of knowledge and experiences I have that could be helpful to others.
